Hey guys,

Love Love Hill (c/o garnet_phoenix and me, loverspit) is doing a last-minute Otakuthon (August 13-14) project!!

We're putting together a quick zine of illustrations + comics + fanfic based on the Vocaloid character universe called VocaLatte Tea Time.

The deadline is very very soon, August 8th, 2011.
Space is limited so please contact me and let me know what you'd like to do before submitting.

Final book spec is 6" x 9",  full bleed (draw an extra 1/4-inch at least on the edges of your image).
There will be room for a max of 12 colour illustrations (if you'd like to put in a spread, let me know).  Comics and fanfic will be in black and white only.  You are encouraged to submit as much as you like but please keep your comic page-count to a manageable number.

Please send your files in at least 600DPI B/W Bitmap, or 300DPI RGB colour (I will calibrate them as I best can at the print shop).  If you do not know what this means, consult me right away.

Copies of the zine will be sold at Otakuthon and after that on the Love Love Hill website.  For now there is a variable/indefinite print-run, meaning we will keep making them until interest starts to wane.

We can't compensate money-wise, but each contributor will get one or two copies depending on the size of your contribution. 

Also, if you want to do your own conventions, I'm willing to make books and wholesale them to you for the print price + shipping. 

Alternately, if you feel up to it, I can also send out paginated print-ready PDFs of the final book if you would rather save on the shipping and print and bind the book yourself, since this time it's something that's potentially easy to do just at any print shop (however, do keep the files to yourself and don't upload them for internet use).

If you happen to be attending Otakuthon and would like copies on your table, you may also take some and keep the overhead profits of the books you sell as commission/compensation (print costs will be reimbursed to whoever pays for printing).

Description:
At a local craft and art fair, where I sold my comics and zines, I got asked the question "Are you local?" As someone Chinese, the question struck me by surprise because my ethnicity is visible on the surface, that I'm foreign to some extend.

That question has prompted me to think about my origins. So I drew a bunch of illustrations about the childhood that I have been through in Hong Kong, where I was born and raised, and then organized them into an illustration zine.

As much as it's an Asian childhood, there is something universal for everyone because we were all kids.
